This is a quick update letting you know what I’m planning for the future of The Music Entrepreneur website.

Some of you on the email list already know – I’ve been asking you guys whether or not DAWCast is a brand that you personally resonate with.

I wouldn’t say that I’ve gotten a lot of responses, but any feedback I’ve gotten seems to point to the fact that simple is better. DAWCast sounds like a steel company, or maybe a reference to Digital Audio Workstations. You can see the name’s connection to music, but only if you squint really hard. So I’ve been looking at re-branding for some time.

Right now, I have two separate sites covering music industry topics at (which you’re probably looking at right now), as well as (where the new podcast is).

I decided to take a bit of a break after the launch of the podcast so I could have some time to think about the direction of each, and I’m glad I did, because I think I’ve come to a meaningful conclusion about what’s next.

A while back, I bought the domain name I’ve had this domain in mind as the ultimate destination for So long story short, I’m smack dab in the middle of getting the site moved over.

Despite the fact that this is should have been a fairly “routine” move, in reality it has been anything but. I’ve encountered difficulties at virtually every step in the process. But the good news is that the move is now well under way, and you can even see things developing if you go over to (if you so choose).

I’ve also decided that isn’t just the future home of, but also the new home of That’s right, I’m consolidating. Granted, it is a lot of content to organize, but I am working on ways to make finding what you’re looking for a lot easier, so if you’re worried about that, know that it’s something I’m putting some attention on.

I believe the short-term pain of making this move will make things easier for me moving forward, and it will also create a better experience for you. I have many different projects, but the time is right for me to simplify and consolidate where I can, so that I can continue to be of service to those who need me most.

So it won’t be long before you’re forwarded over to if you enter either or into your browser. But again, the overall change should be a positive one for everyone involved. Thank you for your understanding and patience while I make these important changes. It’s all so I can serve you better.
